Conditions

We all want to have fun building with bricks and that includes our staff. Here are a few rules to ensure everyone has a great experience at your event.

Age Restrictions

Build With Bricks requires all children participating to be aged between 6 and 99* years old. 

(This is a top age limit set by Lego® so we might look the other way if someone is aged 100+)

Bookings

A booking will be locked in once a deposit has been paid and a confirmation email has been sent to you as the customer. Payments must also be made in compliance with the Payment Condition outlined on this page to ensure our staff attend your event.

Venue

Whether you are holding your party at home, at a sports club or a community centre, we will require a large open area for your guests and the VIP you are celebrating for to enjoy the construction they will do and games they will play.


If you are at home a loungeroom, family room or rumpus room would be best suited. Bedrooms and outdoor areas are not appropriate. The area where the activities are to take place should be clean, free from food and pets removed from where we are gathering.

Travel Charge

Build With Bricks services the City of Wyndham in Victoria Australia free of a travel charge. A flat $20 travel charge is applied to other areas in the Western Suburbs. Beyond the Western Suburbs a quote for travel will be supplied. (See Travel Maps for areas covered within the City Of Wyndham, Western Suburbs and beyond)

Before We Start and After We Finish

  • We will spray our bricks with isopropyl alcohol to disinfect them before they are handled at your event. This will evaporate before users handle the bricks.
  • Hands need to be clean, please wash your hands
  • Hand sanitizer will be used before touching bricks.
  • When we are finished, hands should be washed again before eating.

Child Supervision

All of our staff have current working with children checks. We request that parents continue to supervise their children while we are building and playing.


 There is never an appropriate time for Build With Bricks staff to be left in a room alone with a child. Please do not place staff in this situation and ensure an adult from your event is in supervision of the children at all times.

Your bricks and our bricks

We know how exciting it can be to show off your latest build, but we must insist that our bricks and yours do not come into contact. Separating parts once they have mixed is a bit hard and we would never want to make anyone unhappy on a special day.

Code of conduct

We ask that you take care of our staff and equipment.

  • Our staff will not use a phone or take photos of child participants without the expressed permission of our client and parents of guests. Build With Bricks may photograph cool builds for our website, the build will be attributed by first name, age of the builder and activity the build was made in. No other information will be attributed or shared.
  • No eating bricks and other elements - it does not taste very nice and has no nutritional value. If you need help separating bricks or plates, ask for some help and don't use teeth.
  • No stomping, walking on or trying to break the bricks - you wouldn't like it if the bricks did that to you.
  • No hiding the bricks - bricks don't need to go in pockets or under couches, it will get lonely and miss the other bricks it has been hanging with.
  • No bad language - we won't so you shouldn't.
  • We ask that if alcohol is being served at your event, that every precaution is taken to ensure guests do not become intoxicated while Build With Bricks staff are on site. Build With Bricks staff are prohibited from consuming alcohol at any time while engaging with clients and children.
  • We appreciate it is your home, workplace or club, however we must insist on a blanket ban on smoking and vaping while Build With Bricks staff are onsite.
  • Drug use while Build With Bricks staff are on site is prohibited and will result in an immediate withdrawal of service.
  • Vilification of race, religion, gender, sexual preference, physical attributes, disability, political beliefs or other factors which make a person unique will not be tolerated from any customer or person associated with the customer as we are only there to entertain with bricks.
  • Be courteous to our staff, if there is an issue by all means raise it with our staff but if it can't be resolved on the day we will seek to work with you at a later date.
  • Physical violence or threats of harm will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
  • Language or acts of a sexual nature are inappropriate. Build with Bricks will support staff decisions about continuing service should an issue of this nature arise.
  • Build with Bricks staff will assess a venue for hazards and may discuss alternate areas for activities at the venue or withdraw service if the safety matter cannot be avoided or rectified.


Build With Bricks reserves the right to withdraw service if staff face abusive conditions or equipment is being damaged or stolen. No refund will be forthcoming if any such situation arises. Staff will leave as soon as equipment is packed and not before. Build With Bricks staff do reserve the right to record behavior outlined as being unacceptable in the above list or other actions which are used to threaten and intimidate. Any attempt to restrain staff or prevent them from removing Build With Bricks property will result in police becoming involved.

Payments

Look, we love what we do but we got bills too. 

  1. A non-refundable booking payment of $100 must be paid to reserve the time and date you request.
  2. Full payment of the invoice must be completed a week (7 days) before your event. Build With Bricks may cancel your booking if payment is not made on time and allocate that time to another customer. 
  3. Booking fees are transferable to a new date if a week's (7 days prior) notice is given. Within a week (7 days) of your event the booking fee cannot be transferred to a new date. More than three date changes may result in the booking payment being forfeited to Build With Bricks

Cancellation Policy

Sometimes the unforeseeable happens and Build With Bricks may need to cancel a booking. Last thing you want is an ill member of our staff attending your celebration or workplace. In this event we will give you as much notice as we can so that disappointment is minimised. There may also be events which happen on the day such as mechanical failure of vehicles or an accident. In these situations a full refund will be supplied.


Customers must provide Build With Bricks with a minimum of a week's (7 days) notice that a booking has been cancelled. The $100 deposit is not refundable, but all other funds will be returned in the following week.

Refusal of service

Build With Bricks reserves the right to refuse service. Full refunds will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis should a situation arise which Build With Bricks staff feel cannot be resolved or where service would result in a breach of any of the rules above or pose a risk to staff.
